A concert, MTV, a music video? This impressions are left after hearing and seeing the stage performance of Lyssan König. The theatrical but somehow satirical, ironical pop culture treatment of music today. The singer is screaming with a loud guitar tone in the background as a video is projected over her on to the stage. In the video a woman (the singer) is struggling and suffering as she is tied all over including her face with heavy rope. The coordination between video and live singer speaks of a visual, aural discourse. Is this a nightmare? We the audience are transfixed and numb to the theater. Some not, I notice people irritated and leave the concert-hall. The Bern Kesselhaus lends itself perfeet for this concert performance, and this ironie treatment is also good for commentary.
